I was struck by how the ground the union was on was higher, so they'd be pouring a fire down into it, making it like a death trap

Having been there, it does seem to me a pretty terrible position for the Confederates to deploy. Was surprised as I was used to reading how strong it was, the sunken lane seemed a death trap

Seen DS9, Enterprise and Next Generation, but that's it regarding star trek shows. Not heard of Firefly.
Currently just flicking through different episodes of Quantum Leap, the original not this new one they made

Before my time. Aside from children's tv, only started taking an interest in other shows about 10years ago, and that was re-runs of Star Trek Enterprise

Mine is rather easy as all males, on paternal line, are just William and Richard for the past several hundred years. One interesting find was a marriage certificate where the wife simply signed "X", evidently couldn't write

Yes I have a few on him, think he's lurking on another bookshelf with Hood, Bragg and Johnston. That one is mostly Lee, and then udner him books on different campaigns and battles. Really need to organise it, take down that temporary stuff and have new built, but have been busy

Mine have a few library marks on the front, but they do the job well enough

Cheaper than what I paid for that set, bought it on AbeBooks maybe 5 years or so ago

Looks interesting, although I'm not a member. Usually avoid groups, not sure why

Got my hands on the silver one since. Shows Wellington meeting Blucher, a wounded Prince of Orange, and the shadow of Napoleon looming over all
