You don’t know how anyone in your life is actually losing weight. Complimenting weight loss could too easily be complimenting an eating disorder. There is simply no way for you to know until it’s too late. It’s best to just not do it.

The assumption that every Fat person is overeating is similar to assuming that every skinny person is undereating. Simply, body size diversity exists no matter how people are eating.
