I marvel at how that story spread in schoolyards across the nation in the late 70's. People must have been making a lot of long distance phone calls just to talk about it. IIRC, Mikey's parents had to make a press statement that he was fine. The whole affair would make for a cool documentary.

One of the few consoles I frequently miss not having anymore. (Almost got the 3D imager back in the day, but J.C. Penney catalog had sold out.) I did see an emulator for Ipad(?) a few years back.

I think it might go back further than that. Horror comics maybe? Might have have to consult a comic book guru I know about that. IIRC, Eddie Munsters' beloved woof woof doll sometimes had a plaid flannel robe.

Caught a glimpse of this masterpiece in a youtube doc about Radio Shack. Somehow I had never seen the full commercial before. They had me at ALF and Devo. Kudos for Teen Wolf, and going deep cut with Bubo the owl. 😄
