Willingham Parish Council have today been informed that an emergency road closure will take place alongside the river on the B1050 from 15th December, for five nights. The closure will be from 8.00pm each night until 6.00am the following morning.

Report Fraud service goes live From 4 December 2025, the existing Action Fraud support will be replaced by our new Report Fraud service.   Report Fraud is the new service that has now replaced Action Fraud.   You should report cyber crime and fraud here from now on - reportfraud.police.uk.

Willingham Parish Council were very sadenedd to hear of the recent passing of Phil King. Phil had been a central part of the Parish Council for many years. The Chairman, Derek Law, has prepared some words in memory of Phil who will be missed by all of those involved with the Parish Council. We are getting in touch to let you know that public consultation on the draft Local Plan is now open. It runs until 5pm on Friday 30 January 2026. We have received the following update from Highways, regarding the B1050 roadworks:- "We would like to provide an update on the overnight works that have been taking place on Shelford Road, Willingham. During the early stages of these works, the contractor identified significant damage to the underlying road substrate. As a result, the planned works have been unable to progress as scheduled.

We have been advised that the closure has been changed to nighttime only. Closure will be for up to four nights (starting the 10th November) 8pm to 6pm. We have been given notice of an emergency road closure due to take place from the 10th November for 3 days and 3 nights. This will be a closure in place and diversion whilst patching works are carried out along Shelford Road past the canal. Highways have apologised for the inconvenience but wish to make these repairs as soon as possible.
