a game that exists that has supported queer people in the past that can be convinced to not support transphobic content again vs a franchise that exists purely to continue the subjugation of trans people globally

i ask sincerely- are those not different?

abandoning someone who was previously an ally because they were short sighted is not how we continue social movements- it's how we isolate ourselves from the broader culture, and allow ourselves to exist on an expendable fringe

don't give any money, but they clearly have our attention already

this event is being hosted in spite of Epic Games, as a loud rallying cry for the gaming community to include trans people again

i am *always* open to conversations with other trans people on the best way to do this, and if any trans people have concerns my DMs are always open ❤️

not playing fortnite would not be enough to convince Epic to come back- that would be inaction, in a moment where we as trans people deserve action.

actions like raising money for our community, making noise for the global rise in transphobia, and making our own spaces are the START of fixing this
