Un-aesthetic if your loser team is on the receiving end.

Do you own a cat? If yes keep your cat inside!

This flowchart would save the most bird lives.

What’s the correlation between WTI and the number of used lifted Ford Raptors for sale in the Permian Basin?

The Eagles getting punished for innovation. Lame league, lame owners

I got my 2024-2025 duck stamp today from FWS!!!

Since the Duck Stamp Act was passed in 1934 it has provided $800M to protect 5.7M acres of habitat.

Land acknowledgments are usually a performative academic word salad. That’s my issue. I’d rather colleges teach the local history of the land and those who inhabited it.

A cool 4-6 months before you get eggs, during which you’re still paying for food.

I love my backyard chickens, my son takes care of them and sells the extra eggs, but it takes a while to get to the break even point.

TF are you buying a $1,500 coop?? You can make one for under $100. String together some pallets.

We need government efficiency (believe me I work in government). But, it was pretty clear from the beginning that DOGE was not about efficiency.

This is performative activism at its finest!!!

These new big projects also have a lot of hurdles that we need to simplify. NEPA, Right of Way, etc… not eliminate but simplify.

I’d highly recommend the podcast WGBH did on the Big Dig. It talks about the difficulties of “Big Projects”.

I understand your frustration. When’” existing infrastructure is underfunded for so many years it consumes a lot of this “one time” money rather than new projects.

I’m a civil engineer. The real world functions because we have STEM grads and trades workers building the systems that give us clean water, roads etc…

I’m tired of a bunch of frustrated liberal arts grads categorizing STEM folks as emotionally unintelligent androids. Do Better!

Many miles of paving completed as well.

These accomplishments should have been made clear to the general public. We tend to ignore infrastructure until it is not functioning properly.

Rehabilitation is different than maintenance. Just finished a project where we extended the life of 4 bridges by 25 years and upgraded safety barriers and constructed scour countermeasures to protect from flooding. Might not be a sexy as a new bridge but highly beneficial to the public

The Democratic Party crafts a dozen messages targeted towards a range of different groups. We need a unified single message that appeals to all of those groups. That is the challenge. Traditionally that has been the economic fairness and civil rights. We need to get back to that.

Respectfully disagree. I am a bridge engineer and we are putting that money to work. A lot of the big bridge replacement projects funded by the bill are going to construction now. There is a lag between funding and when construction starts. Our rehab projects went first now we are see replacements

The Democratic Party needs some dogs. Enough with the respectability politics. We need people who want to fight and get in the mud.

Young men need a purpose and if you ignore it you get our current politics! They don’t need to be heroes but need a purpose.

If democrats were smart they would figure out how to channel this into something positive for society instead of maligning young men.
