Just re-watched The Producers (1967) for probably the 23rd time.

The play “Springtime for Hitler” provides a rather accurate assessment of our modern day (shallow) State.

Realized something today. Don’t know why it took me so long.

America is a nation of poverty. The poor greatly outnumber the wealthy.

The nation as a whole is rich, but not many if not most of our citizens are far from it.

Might be time to re-read this classic, as it may well be coming true before too long.

People who say, "I am a smart guy" or similar. If you were truly smart, you wouldn't need to tell anyone. It would be obvious to everybody. I’ve known some brilliant people; they don’t waste time telling you how smart they are. Rather, they tell you amazing things you didn’t know beforehand.

If electric cars are so bad, maybe everything should have a combustion engine — your ceiling fan, your food processor, your electric toothbrush, your stand mixer — all that evil stuff.

I don’t understand the resistance to electric vehicles. I really don’t care what turns the wheels on my pickup, so long as they go where & when I want them to.

Long-time NFL fan here. I’ve reached the point where I watch for the play rather than the teams. (Of course, I favor the 49ers.)

But I am about ready to stop watching because of the rotten quality of officiating. (Rigged??)

C’mon NFL, stop being cheapskates. Make Referee a professional position.

If you can abolish the 14th Amendment by Executive Order, then you can do the same to the 1st Amendment, or…the 2nd Amendment.
Is that really a precedent they want to establish?

It feels to me like we’re heading back into the Seventies.
Most folks today don’t remember it, but: inflation rate 5% to 8%, unemployment like 11%, mortgage rates 17% (or more), lots of crime…it was not a picnic.
Let’s hope I am very wrong.

What, I wonder, was the origin of the famous JFK quote (“Ask not what your country can do for you …”)?
In the early 1960s, must there have been a whole bunch of people asking what the US could do for them? And why else would President Kennedy have uttered such a question?

OK -- here I am. Let's hope this becomes a positive and interesting place. I am not much of a 'social' guy and haven't logged onto Xwitter in months; it seems like such a garbage dump. We can do better, yes?
