It's unsettling, to wake up in the morning and read that I, as an American, am complicit in the political murder of another human being. Another political murder in a rampage of callous, gratuitous acts of political theater.

The scariest incidents is when the nicely dressed woman, or smiling child unleashes a stream of racist, homophobic, vitriol that'd make Charlie Kirk blush.

The right wing fantasy is that children should be beaten, wives slapped, arrestees beaten, tortured shot; as the only way to solve "all these problems," that exist only in their fear based imaginations. I never saw any of these people when I was chasing looters out of stores during a riot, unarmed

Trump and his clowns really think if they fire enough people who speak the truth that reality will change? I calked BS on some MAGAs on Facebook claiming during Covid, Biden had cops on CA beaches pointing assault rifles at people not wearing masks. They really can't handle being challenged.

Would any of us be at all surprised if Trump announced, in a word salad, he was trading Alaska for Crimea and peace in our time, and Russia gets both?

2005 people were still trapped on roofs in the 9th, watching CNN group included a very right wing EMT. He repeatedly said 'Those people should help themselves' No one said anything. I asked him, You're an EMT. How functional are you going to be with out fresh water for three days?

Their thinking is as it always has been, if they can get enough people to go along, and repress/silence everybody else, then reality will magically bend.

The argument from the greedheads and angry ignorant reactionaries is'If you don't like communist failure, you have to let scammers, billionaires run loose and pay no taxes. Reality and most of us know a well regulated consumer economy is best.

When my son was studying 20th C Euro hist we were in Costco. I said, Stop. Look around. (He prepared to roll his eyes and groan). 'This is the dream of communism promised by comrades Marx and Lenin, made real.' He cracked up. Costco is great, but it's predicated on consumers, not greed.

This determination to remain nonviolent raises opportunities. We've seen what negative elements of law enforcement does. A few officers unilaterally start yelling at protesters and then charges. All the other law enforcement joins in. This was the Main St overpass in L.A. last Sat.
