I never saw the animated stuff when it came out originally, but I'm currently working through the backlog with my kids. Starting with clone wars then bad batch and we just finished season 3 of rebels. I got to say, I've been really enjoying it.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid transformed my son from fighting us about having to read for 10 minutes a night to begging us to go to the library to get the next one. I'm all for challenging kids to read more complex things but we shouldn't be putting up barriers to kids reading any anything.

Honestly, I think I prefer the strings. I have two young violists in my house (4th and 6th grade). Compared to my memories of my brother squealing away on a trumpet for 3 years. I'll take the strings any day.

I see Thanksgiving more as a comfort food day than a fancy meal day and mashed potatoes are what I'm looking for. Also, because you can do them completely on the stove top, you don't have to worry about taking up oven space when that's already logistically challenging.

Just for me, it feels like there's people to listen to but no one to talk to. A lot of my closer community is scattered or has reverted to a group chat/dms.

The mass Twitter migration makes it feel like more of a critical mass is over here at least, more of the larger accounts are showing up. And with the better blocks and general attitude over here, I'll probably stick around.
