I didn’t know that. Weird system because if you’re born in Oct, Nov or Dec then it’s a 1, regardless. So no gender indicator for some.

Just to put a slightly different spin on this, I did it recently and was pleasantly surprised how easy and clear it was. 🤷

I wonder how much of this is to do with the old dot matrix printers that are still in use at the airline gate? Could it be that these printers can only reliably use the basic ASCII character set? So less about the software or database.
