Grand Mesa Nordic Council Skiathlon today "Friluftsliv Festival". We skied 4 hours and record our distance. See stats in my picture. The weather was perfect @ nearly 40°f, sunny, no wind and fresh groomed trails.

The Grand Mesa Nordic Trails received 25" of snow the past few days...trails were not fully tracked, it was snowy and windy and lots of people so my time was a bit slow but a great afternoon of skiing.

Hiked Little Dominguez Canyon trail out and back, 9:30am start at 63°f, t-shirt weather, no wind, sunny, saw three golden eagles, ... excellent hike with a few miles of stream crossing and sandy walking then up into the tighter rockier canyon.

Desert Big Horn Sheep near Mesa Colorado yesterday. I pulled over about 100ft away, watched them for 30 minutes and took photos with my Google pixel @ 30x.

Sweet potatoes mashed, roasted mixed vegetables and roasted Mahi Mahi fillets (same covered casserole dish...450°f, 20 minutes veggies, another 10 minutes fish). Very delicious. Spice to your delight.

This is a superb slot canyon hike a few hours west of Fruita near Goblin State Park: Little Wildhorse and Bell Canyon, an 8 mile loop, 955ft net ascent: This loop requires light boldering maneuvers and definitely don't do it if there's any chance of rain.

This is a 6.7km loop I typically do on Grand Mesa..from yesterday. I'm just now using Garmin connect. Classic Nordic.
