This week’s column. It’s understandable that Arsenal fans are tense and pensive and there is work to do. But by any objective measure Arsenal are a really good team and I think we should remember that and try not to spiral too much with each setback 👇🏻🔴⚪️

Rotten for the player. Rotten for the club. I just find it astonishing how much Arsenal fans and the wider punditry just don’t seem to be prepared to entertain that injuries are the root cause for most of (not all of) Arsenal’s current issues.

Raya was booked in the first half at Palace for time wasting. Comparing that to what’s happening here is exasperating. We need a more objective measure for time wasting, the refs are too dumb not to be governed by narrative on this.

Another team with clinical finishing from their first real chance….added with us missing from 5 yards again of course. Got to keep the faith but feels like the second half of this season is going to be very very long.

We certainly haven’t taken our chances but also just not getting any luck.. little deflections, bounces all falling Newcastle’s way.
