Sea ice extent in the Bering Sea has increased in the past week, due to cooler temperatures and prevailing north winds. However, extent remains way below average for early March with the pack ice edge only barely to St. Matthew Island and no significant ice in Bristol Bay. #akwx #Arctic #SeaIce

One of the first and largest of the Habitat Groups to be completed, the “Bird Rock Group," was by Denslow. The group depicted 73 sea birds (7 species) from the Bird Rock Islands of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. This image is a composite of two 1927 photos available from the AMNH Digital Collections. /2
