A poem written from Zen's perspective, canonically as well: Wish Upon a Butterfly Why... do I still feel this way... To witness you, smiling so delightfully, your one green eye glimmering yellow... To witness him, biting his ever widening grin, bashful gaze ducked away from your playful eye... Truly... The room seems bathed in sunlight. Too dazzling to ever be disturbed. Yet I find myself two magnets fighting for control. 'Why'... I... would never understand... But, one truth is for certain... I have assigned my rights. This is a moment I should never disturb. Regardless of how I may feel. "... Come, Sweet Rare Butterfly... I shall mend you myself." Perhaps I can show you to him another time... And, perhaps. . . Perhaps also see him smile the same.

The words Pat Pat is drawn behind them. 🌙 Storytime: Zen's Little Secret ". . . . . ." With nary an answer to my knocks, I finally excuse myself and peek into the office... "Your Highness...?" ... Ah, I see. He's fallen asleep on the couch again... He's been so exhausted, if only he allows himself to slow down just a tad... ". . . Your Highness, your neck would be quite cramped if you sleep in that manner..." Yet as usual, I find myself smiling and chuckling despite it all. If nothing else, I can at least provide him some semblance of comfort, yes...? He'd never know, after all... Gingerly, I take off my belt skirt full of weapons and sit down, guiding his head to my shoulder, away from his neck-breaking position, hmhm. When I untie his hair, his soft wavy strands cascade down his slouching back, bringing with them the warm, earthy scent of his shampoo-- 'No, I shouldn't linger on it...!' I shake my head and with a breath, I finally lower him to nestle on my lap, and ahh... his sleeping face is truly so adorable, I wish I can see it as often as I see his mischievous grins... "Hmhm..." "Mmh..." Ah-- I poked his cheek without thinking again...! Bad! You certainly have a bad, cursed hand, Zen!!!! "Nnh... Zz... Zzz..." . . . Haa, I'm so glad he's a deep sleeper... "Well..." Softly stroking the top of his head, careful not to leave too much of an impression, I whisper... "I wish you sweet dreams, Your Highness..." Though I can only give you comfort in small, little ways, I hope... I hope it all still matters. Just like your smile has been for me.
