Got a new passport photo taken and the photographer (a v kind, older guy) was like, “Your bangs can’t cover your eyebrows” (what??) and encouraged me to “look happier” (but not smile). Result? Somehow I look surprised but also indifferent 😐

I was waiting to get off the bus and a lady let me go ahead of her. I said “thank you!” and bowed simultaneously. Hate to one of those people but it’s weird how that became second nature to me after being in Japan for only two weeks.

Isn’t it interesting that of the comments I received from my Taylor Swift Instastories that were positive ranged from “Omg have so much fun!”, “Wow you got tickets!” to “Thanks so much for sharing these, my kids loved watching them” were from women, and the 3 comments I got from men were:
