What I was referring to about AI making things worse is they are using the technology to research stories too much without following the facts. AI can be misleading. The facts it attributes may not be 100% accurate.

Some websites have started producing AI-generated news content. Nay. /x

Another factor here by indirect means is that the purchasing power of the dollar has been impacted a lot more, partly from Trump's "poor man tariffs" imposed on consumers.

In summary, those with less to spend aren't able to buy as many goods and services as they'd like.

... the Bush 2 Administration questioned Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, and the top generals, even back then officials had a tough time being truthful in public.

Little has changed. The trump admin is overt about reducing the flow of information. We remain in the dark:

Outlets that reach millions denied access to rare Pentagon news briefings this week
It's not often Pentagon officials hold briefings for the press, but they are this week — although outlets that reach millions of news consumers have been denied access.

The old way of sustaining American economics; the very notion of just what a job is, the part in venture capitalism where one rich V.C. has way too much say and control over hundreds of people's futures, and the Baby Boomer portfolio investors who work in packs to dump money into lost causes... /10

...They and those nearest them who are trying to commercialize on aspects of what they do also have to accept the pace of change within American businesses borders on the glacial. And it's also the boss man's preference for using closed code since that's what they've been working with for years. /8

As a result, any time that a couple of younger guys in college have some good ideas with code and can demonstrate a new idea or working concept, they must take into consideration not just the existing constraints in their software world with regard to closed systems vs. the open kind... /7

...Open Source say that programmers *may* reproduce, copy, and reverse-engineer code.

Corporations that "want it all" for themselves avoid this paradigm. They fear unknowns and they reject the possibilities which come from 1) being more collaborative and 2) having more transparent code models. /6

I've now reached middle age. I have come to accept the reality that I must live within an imperfect and sometimes abusive system that will not manufacture products and services that people either want or need 100% of the time.

I am speaking of course about #OpenSource. /4

That's exactly how it's going down today. That's what Americans despite their differences created. And since the late 1970's this system of economics and competition between the races and genders has been disproportionate in terms of overall fairness and being able to demonstrate accountability. /3

⬆️ When I read this article I also thought of Qualcomm and Arduino's use of their new, remade AI policy to actively monitor all Arduino users who make use of their #SaaS services. To that, I just say "pffft."

The buyout of #Arduino by Qualcomm was avoidable. The Arduino CEO absconded on the public.

Little Tucker wanted to work for the Central Intelligence Agency and then instead became a TV "journalist." He turns "on a dime" and by that, I mean Tucker is a weather vane when he tries to make his silly pronostications. Whichever way the winds blow — he's right there running with it. Go figure? 🤣

I'm not doing this anymore. I do not want to work for nothing until I'm 70 years old. No f***ing way. I don't do hippie, in this regard.

I will always have a small problem with #Linux. Yes, it grew and changed. But all the adherents think it's everything.

We are basically told by the change agents that are part of the Magnificent Seven [1] to fend for ourselves, economically and technology — by learning "vibe coding."

What the hell does that even mean? Why the hell aren't there more tech jobs in the #PNW, outside of Portland metro and Hillsboro? /3

I have been trying for years to find a niche with something involving Linux.

It's f***ing impossible because the pricks at Qualcomm and also Microsoft beat us each time.

Everything is SaaS-based today. What is that? It's "dime bag."

Azure and AWS Cloud both use ai to ruin the whole landscape. /2

So, I will concede that it’s a 50/50 “toss up” here.

I can’t be 100% sure but I think this photo of Trump has been somehow altered or manipulated.

#photoshop Any resident BlueSky Photoshop/other digital artists want to chime in, right here?

I am also closely examining the bridge of Trump’s nose. Trump doesn’t imbibe, but it seems that his nose may also have been touched up, altered, or something? 47 is the one who has used orange-colored tanning solutions and some kind of orange makeup. Maybe it’s gone and I can’t tell re: his nose.
