I also think Pokémon games are really good tools for kids learning how to read, and to have all of the main dialogue read aloud to them by the game almost robs them of the experience I got to have as a kid learning to read bigger words from unvoiced games like Pokémon.

I think Piers is the one singular example where there should have been an exception, because the cutscene before his Gym Battle is dreadful to watch - but I just feel like every other instance is fine? I like coming up with my own idea of what these characters sound like.

I got this for Christmas and have been thinking about inviting friends over to play it and maybe make a video about it. It seems like it absolutely is *not* Monopoly
