Great horned owl behind our house! I think/hope it's the juvenile that we called Gronker that we saw a few years ago. This was about their favorite spot to hang as well. I'll find a video of them soon. (Hopefully)

Finally made it home to downed fences, downed trees, broken fences, no power. And then when Stu tried to walk the dogs (on leash) there were loose Livestock Guardian Dogs in our yard. Whooft. Welcome home I guess. Puck has been a rockstar though and thankfully he wasn't dealing with the LGDs

Also I don't know if I shared this really cool new thing I did! These Standees are lovely handmade wooden bases with laser engraved fitted vertical pieces that are interchangable for species and season! The 1st batch was silkens & fall things, but it's VERY modular and I'm making new art everyday!

I saw the Aurora last night with my naked eye! It was less vivid than these photos but still bright enough to be noticeable and lovely. What a fantastic treat. Over the years I've driven hours looking for it, this was my back yard 💚

Ok so is there a trick to figuring out the difference between that yellow rabbitbrush, and rubber rabbitbrush? I am struggling to identify a plant!? I added photos in case it's one of those 'I can see it but not say it' things.
