In general I think Lawyer-brain (not all lawyers, etc) is behind a lot of left/liberal dysfunction right now: too much focus on process and not enough on actual outcomes. In everything from housing to energy policy to the survival of rule of law.

Two years ago when it was really bad I remember wishing I'd dislocate my hip or my neck instead, because as bad as those hurt at least I knew how to fix them and at least I knew the pain and discomfort wouldn't last long.

A three can also mean I got two hours of sleep last night because of muscle spasms of unknown cause. The pain from the muscle spasms aren't bad in comparison to my neck and back. It's just pain that specifically blocks me from sleeping, sometimes for months on end. But that's not pain you know?

A three can also mean I am moving with extreme caution because I'm afraid of dislocating a hip and temporarily losing the ability to walk or stand, but the pain is manageable if I do everything exactly right for an indeterminate amount of time and take precautions and try to gently pop it back #hEDS

My pain is basically never above a three. A three can mean my thumb hurts and it's driving me crazy because I've been in a flare and I'm bored and now even mindless scrolling causes pain.

Does it bother me? A little, not really? I mean compared to when my neck hurts so bad I can barely think or speak no it doesn't bother me and I can live with it. Doesn't mean I want to live with it though, or if it is #psoriaticarthritis let it eat away at my joints until the damage is undeniable

Should I describe that as not long because I don't notice it in-between? Am I actually not feeling pain or is it just easily ignorable? Or if I notice it periodically for hours, is that a while? Or is it still short if it's only for a few days?

Is it burning? Kind of? But not in a just touched a hot stone way, more like smoldering embers.

Is it stiff? Kind of? I can bend it, but it feels different, like there's resistance.

How long does it last? Idk, I keep noticing or being reminded of it anytime I go to bend my toe.

Just 30 seconds into Love Story the sound quality tipped me off it was Pandora but a Pandora commercial confirmed it later as well.

The needles going in don't hurt, they're very small so it's a lot less of a poke than getting blood drawn. I can't always tell when they're in. Sometimes the muscle response to them is mildly painful for me, but it's my usual muscle pain. I do find it helpful, and look forward to my appointments.
