A 16 couldn’t beat a 1 until they did and then did it again. George Mason couldn’t possibly beat Michigan St, UNC and UConn and go to a Final 4? JMU couldn’t really beat Oklahoma at the WCWS could they? Coastal Carolina couldn’t possibly win a CWS title could they?

To not love the fact that they have a CHANCE to shock the world after, as a society, seeing March Madness become must see tv is crazy. This is what college athletics have always been. Sure the big boys will probably always win, but to not allow the new kid/little guy play is everything that is wrong

JMU did everything right as a school pre-NIL to grow into a FCS powerhouse in the hope to make the jump to FBS where dreams of a championship would be another generation away at best. Now schools like JMU are feeder schools for P4 and deep pockets and JMU poaches FCS. 1/2
