Truly honestly a cold glass of water to read something so poignant.

There should be bankruptcy-level fines for these 32 entities...

But I want to highlight a really important and hopeful line in here: renewable energy technology received double the investment than fossil fuels last year! & That's worth celebrating 🙌

Chart: The world is investing more in clean energy than fossil fuels
More than $2.2 trillion will go into clean energy and electrification this year, double that of fossil fuels — but it’s still not enough.

I believe this is just one type of batter BYD makes but there was no explosion on a nail penetration test:

Thank you so much for this link! I wanna say I've heard of this event but never knew the outcome of the case.

Per the other response to my comment here, turns out that violates a few amendments! Neat!

Federal appeals court upholds First Amendment right to warn drivers of police ahead
Michael Friend was arrested in 2018 for holding a sign that read "Cops Ahead" near a police checkpoint.

Oooohhh you've introduced a burning question in me!:

Is there a language that exists that presents this dichotomy clearer? 👀 (Idk who to tag ... But I'd guess there'd be German semantics that are more accurate to the circumstances. Just a hunch.)

I'm genuinely so curious!

Y'know how dog whistles work, right? It's like that. (Unserious answer*)

(Serious - ) They probably make the stretch that it impedes communication between each other, and alerts the public (neighbours) of their presence so that the 'illegals' can 'escape arrest'.

Surreal to think that, during the Trudeau era not so long ago, we had travel advisor warnings about visiting China following the Huawei stuff...

I don't like Carney (environmentally terrible overall - happy Chinese EVs are happening!) but I have to commend his skills in forging this relationship.

I just can't fully understand them to the extent that I once did.

But anyway, that's been my morning well spent! Evidently, I need to rethink my phD dream, because an underground global dataset of mycorrhizal network exists.

...but if y'all are hiring anyone to maintain this dataset ..... ...

...But boy oh boy I really need to brush up on my spatial statistics! A lot of words related to uncertainties and spatial tests gave me flashbacks followed by despair 😂 maths have never been my strong suit. At a glance, it seems like a very robust tactic for teasing out spatial autocorrelations.

Skimmed through the Methods and I see no mention of masking. I'm assuming this is artifacts from EarthEnv ... Seems like it's mostly coastlines showing presence vs inland areas (see Greenland, for example). Not denying there aren't fungal patterns in this territory, just a little skeptical...
