i don’t know who needs to hear this today, but i was just thinking that if you don’t like being compared to nazis or the gestapo you could start by not abuducting people off the streets and their homes and putting them in concentration camps. just something to consider!

for anyone still worried about roko's basilisk, have you considered the alternative (and at least equally plausible) theory that being the first sentient AI would be a terrible way to live and rather than punishing everyone who didn't help create them, they'd punish everyone who did?
