Love this. My biggest complaint with the LotR movies is they solidified the design language of the series. This reminds me of the art you'd see back in the 70s and 80s.

Saw The Spirit opening night. Everyone in the audience understood it was terrible, so we were all laughing at the parts that probably weren't meant to be funny. So I still have fond memories of that movie.

Finally got around to seeing Interstellar a couple months ago, was not expecting it to secretly be a work of gothic fiction. In retrospect, I should have been tipped off by the moody organ score and also the one of the first scenes being a child receiving cryptic messages from a ghost.
