and I also have a skeleton style key with the number 13 at the end. are these signs that Hekate has been with me all these years? or is it just a coincidence that I stumbled upon her in my research?

I never connected the dots until I was thinking about her tonight. shes often represented by dogs, snakes, owls, keys, torches, and the numbers 13, 3, 6, 9, especially in sets of 3 (ex 333). Im now remembering that because of those tattoo events, I have an owl tattooed behind my ear.

when i was 19-23 I was big into getting flash tattoos at special events. it was like a Halloween or Friday the 13th special for highly discounted flash tattoos. at the time I wasnt actively practicing any sort of religion or spiritual journey. I grew up Christian but didnt believe in god.
