There was a large brush fire in the northeast corner of Toronto this afternoon near the Toronto Zoo. Several roads were closed in the area so that firefighters could extinguish the blaze that was first reported around noon. The cause of the brush fire remains unknown.

Be on the lookout for large puddles and potentially some flooding all this weekend if you're out and about in southern Ontario. We're expecting to get a lot of rain, and with most of the ground still being frozen, some of that rain is going to have nowhere to go once it is on the ground.

After a day full of rain, the fog has rolled in to Pickering, Ontario this evening. A fog advisory has been issued for the region, advising everyone of reduced visibility due to locally dense fog that is expected to lift after midnight.

Road work continues in the eastbound lanes of Derry Road just before Airport Road in Mississauga to repair a sinkhole that appeared sometime on Thursday. The two right lanes are expected to remain closed until Monday at 7pm, leaving only the far left lane open to traffic for the duration.

For anyone traveling on Highway 12 in Myrtle Station in the north end of Whitby, there's a malfunction with the train crossing signals as the lights are flashing and bells are ringing but no trains are crossing. I'm told crews are on the way to fix the problem.

Happy Groundhog Day! While the prognosticating groundhogs of North America seem to be divided this year as to whether spring will come early or not, Wiarton Willie says it we're in for an early spring so that's what I'm going to believe as well!

It was another snowy day in the Barrie, Ontario area on Saturday as snowsqualls continued to blow in off of Georgian Bay, bringing even more snow to an already snowy region. However, things have improved today as all watches and warnings in the area have since been canceled. #ONStorm
