We need a horror film with this title. Have everything be the regular horror film rhythms and structures, but the instant the monster shows up we cut to videos of dog butts.

Is it weird how the bigger the giant insect the less scary it seems to be after a certain point? Like, a rad-roach is scary, but a roach the size of a cow feels less scary. Dog sized beetles are scary, but any bigger and it becomes pulpy.

I don't wish to insult the film (haven't seen it) but this picture makes me want to watch a film that's just about a Corgi trying to watch the film and come up with a review.

I'm now imagining a random Japanese sci-fi movie that is very serious and focused on themes of "what it is to be human" only to have a giant lizard wondering around in the background like a raccoon. Nobody acknowledges it. He's just there.

Makes sense. Content carries with it the notion of disposability. Like all that the movies are are like the forgettable flicks in a rental shop between dozens of copies of some actually forgettable rom-com.
