Elliot has always found a good balance between going off on his own and having Araxie with the group, between taking the spotlight and handing a scene over to someone else, and giving Araxie serious, silly, and also just badass moments befitting a monster hunter from a monster hunter dynasty.

The disaster witch part has even resulted in an actual romance!
Apart from creating that theme of connection and closeness or lack thereof, Ren was (iirc) the first to say fuck it, put on a Mask of the Future, and introduce a playbook threat, Noelani's former coven. I thanked them with bugs.
