Me when I'm not writing: Believing crystals have power is silly pseudoscience BS.
Me when I'm writing: I need to surround myself with crystals to charge my creativity and ensure my aura is positively aligned.

Strange clouds tonight. Perhaps it's the rapture, a few days late? I'd be so happy to be left behind, sigh.

Between jury duty and these adorable menaces, I've barely written this week. Oh well - onward and upward!

Can't write b/c baby buns.

My writer's prayer to the goddess for the week. May I not scroll. May I not read news. May I feel creative. May I not get distracted by a pile of baby bunnies.

A fun reading break...

Have you ever not felt like writing so you decide to rescue an abandoned rabbit, and then the rabbit has five babies a week later so now you're extra distracted and can't write and wish you had more free time? No? Just me??

Been struggling getting words on the page lately. So instead of making proper goals, like 1k words/day, I made tiny baby goals, like 300 words/day. And then I colored in boxes like a child when I did it. Results? I met my goal and feel good about myself! Maybe I'll try 400 words/day next week...

Grateful for Gail Sher, who always has the reminder I need. Sitting down to write will always be a challenge but simply doing so is a success.

Reading Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books and this line feels especially apt on Labor Day.
