Today marks the beginning of Hannukah, an eight-day Jewish festival celebrating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. Families light the menorah each night, play dreidel, eat fried foods, and celebrate resilience and faith.

Today honours the moment Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha, attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
In Buddhist homes, a fiscus tree is decorated with lights and beads to symbolize the way all things are united, with three ornaments representing the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.

What a fantastic win for our U15s football team in the first round of the SnS National Cup. A 3-2 win against Greenbank High School in very cold and wet conditions. An excellent goal in extra time by Persephone saw us move through to the second round of the cup! ⚽️ 👏🏻

Beth (Year 8) starred in Just Entertainments production of A Christmas Carol at the Floral Pavilion last week! Beth successfully auditioned last June and was cast as Belinda Cratchit.

Ameka, in Year 7, won bronze on Sunday in the 2KM U14 RW race in the Isle of Man’s Winter League. She then grabbed a picture with two time Olympic champion Tom Bosworth! Congrats Ameka!

Well done to some of our Y7 netballers who played against South Wirral High School. Some great skills on display and we came away with a good win, 20-5.
