Keyboard situation update: I finished my keyboard and I'm really liking it so far even if I'm still getting used to the new layout! For now the actual keymap is an adjusted version of a Nordic QWERTY layout, but I am really tempted to try switching to something more ergonomic.
A photo of my self designed split ergonomic mechanical keyboard, consisting of two halves with 5x5 keys each connected by a TRRS cable with the left half connected to the computer via USB-C. It is all black with unlabeled keys, made from 3D printed parts.

I couldn't stop thinking of this concept so I made it: THERE IS A LIST
