Thanks! We’re doing ok now, we’ve got flowing water, and we’re still boiling it by the gallon. The snow thing was just on Friday. It worked though!

Another Skokie resident here. We lost water for a few hours on Friday. I had boiled some tap water earlier (when we still had some) and bought some bottled water. We were ok for drinking and cooking water, but I ended up scooping up a bunch of snow to melt and fill our toilet tank a couple times.

I think this should be my Christmas card every year.

I challenge you to really lean into this and adopt the term “not-so-goodie”, “bad-goodie”, or possibly “goodie-baddie” in place of “antihero”.

I’m going to jump in to advocate for a small but vulnerable population. Some folks, including young folks, use cellphones as part of a system to make healthcare decisions. Banning cellphones presents a danger to people who require them to, for instance, monitor blood sugar.
