Now that I’ve slept and recovered here’s my Gen Con haul sans presents for minion. My legacy group only came away with one new game this year, a stark difference from then 5 from last year we still haven’t gone through.

May I submit to the committee: Ongekigen Retsurai from Kamen Rider Hibiki which is a fuckin’ demon guitar. Although in Kengaki form it’s used somewhat like a spear, it’s got quite a short shaft for that.

I miss so many of my peers that I don’t get to see regularly. Smaller shows are more enjoyable, allowing me to catch up with people I haven’t seen in a while without overextending myself.

I made it home from ACD Games Day & took a big long sleep to recover. I repped @craftygames.bsky.social and played Sardegna during demo night. More importantly I had the chance to get to know a colleague on a deeper level only to find out she writes queer ace horror and her first book is on sub now!

End scores. We played 10hrs and 1min. Three players were neck and neck in the last round, each possible to close the last 3 points. Empyrean pulled the last point off a secret objective before the others got to score. 🤷🏻♂️

Today is TI4 Extravaganza Day One! We’re deep into round two. I’m the space dinosaurs flanked by underground vampires and a living virus. It’s also my first 7-player game since the launch of Prophecy of Kings came out.
