Any military historians or others recognise this logo / trademark on the base of what is believed to be a French soldiers water canteen used in the Second World War. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can offer.

Such everyday things speak so poignantly. Brings to mind this object (below) with an interesting biography. Spoon taken from the Warsaw Ghetto (Leszno 71) by an escapee, used in a Berlin forced-labour camp, a DP camp in Austria, taken to the USA. Later donated to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Do people still read/find useful book reviews in academic journals? As book reviews editor for Post-Medieval Archaeology I struggle to get reviewers, everyone is so busy I know, but is there something else going on here?
