Live in Studio B, today at 3pm: Early James
Once you hear Early James’ raw, eerily otherworldly voice, you don’t forget it. We were taken by his debut album, “Strange Time to Be Alive” and he wowed us with a powerful Air Studio appearance in 2022. Now we’re getting to know his new one, “Medium Raw”.

New Tunes at 2 today: Cymande – Renascence
This 9-piece London band blended funk, jazz, reggae and soul back in the early ‘70, and were on track to have quite a long run of success. They toured the U.S. with Al Green, & Ramsey Lewis, and were the 1st British band to play the Apollo in NYC. (1)

New Tunes at 2, Thursday: Miss Tess – Cher Reve
We’ve enjoyed having her visit us for numerous live sessions over the years. She cohesively weaves genres we love together into one authentic Americana sound: blues, R&B, early rock, and in this album’s case thanks largely to Joel Savoy, Cajun. (1/2)
February 6, 2025 at 2:38 PM
Wednesday’s New Tunes at 2: Marc Broussard – Time is a Thief
The soulful Louisiana singer is back with this one via his own Artist Tone Label. Guitarist Eric Krasno contributes production work as well as a variety of instrumental parts. (1/2)
