For me I use these steps.. e.g. performance charts landing distance: find the window (e.g. against pressure altitude, OAT) , take the diff, multiply with ratio, add to base.. I also try and do the working exercises the next day and follow up to see if I can make it stick

Side slips: OMG!! Ailerons to right, rudder left, pitch down.. I've got to fight your intuition there..
Landing into headwind : ok, I guess..

Radio work: smattering, but I think getting confident..

Overall a good day..

Steep turns: entry good, altitude ok , steady out needs work
Emergency power off: what?? I could not recollect ABCDE sequence.

Bad part is, I had to cancel my 7am flight tomorrow.. IFR conditions are not the best way to learn for a 15 hr student.. so my CFI and I took off to a fairly strong headwind and turbulent air today.
