I also used to be tired all the time before I got my CPAP. If I can give some unsolicited advice, practice breathing with it during the day so that you are not like me and spending a sleepless night getting used to it.

The only "run back" adjacent thing that is lost in new dark souls that I sometimes think about is finding a boss, dying, then returning and exploring around it to find the bonfire for it.
It still exists in some ways in dark souls but isn't as explicit.

Lots of dark souls people loved it when dark souls moved away from the run backs, me included, so I find it so odd seeing so many run back defenders.

Maybe it is because I came into the set thinking that stationing is not what you want to be doing but I have been having a blast with the set. There feels like a bunch of freedom for how you draft, with lander tokens being everywhere for ramping, fixing, artifact matters and void triggers.

I don't. I just let the game explain it to me as it comes up. Controls nowadays are usually very intuitive, and it is honestly weird that this menu wasn't accessible from the - map menu

I was listening to this episode today and I feel sad that you are not having a good time with Act 3 of E33. Act 3 is messy for sure, it opens up a bunch of places that you need to be at a higher level to do but the game does have a release valve of just beating the final boss and being done with it

I haven't cared about the game being easy, except for the boss fights. I felt they were designed to be interesting puzzles but instead I am just going Monkey Mode and punching until it stops moving

For me, I am finding the game to be very good at pushing me along so that I don't fall into the trap of 100% collecting everything in every location when I first visit it. The bundle of bananas going down the hole makes me want to follow it every time lol.

I just read your article and I wanted to say that I really appreciated it. Contrasting troupes and allusions really solidified for me why this set "feels better" than some previous magic sets we have had at the start of the UB era.
It makes me look forward to more in-universe magic sets.

Talking about non- restorative fiction, Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is an excellent story about not being able to go back and instead we need to protect the here and now and find a better future for ourselves. I think it is a very sharp criticism of where the SW franchise is currently
