It was the closest thing I had to a Sonic game - my hyperfixation at the time - so I let my imagination run wild. How would these characters get along? Which events do they like best?

I have so many memories of this thing. I remember a relative pirated a bunch of games for my sister and I (most of which didn't work lol), and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games was weirdly one of my favorites?

Having that stuff as an option ain't bad. I tend to get lost in RPGs, so I activate that "you gotta head this way" option.

Not to bring back that silly yellow paint discourse, but it bothers me when people say "oh gamers are stupid little babies, they need this."

Nice article, I like the section on "the player as a co-author". A game isn't just what it is, but what you get out of it.
