untold thousands of person-hours of research have gone into figuring out why people turn out to be autistic. in my case it was because of these

i feel like "subscription binder book" was some kind of known 90s phenomenon based on there being at least 2 of them but hell if I can find any info

i got a space heater to assist propane in 2021, and switched to electric heat exclusively in early 2023 because the propane heater was too expensive to run. the red line is how much propane I'd have to use *monthly* to use up the 10,000 cubic feet he says I've used. I haven't changed my habits

actual prompt engineers work with this kind of shit and a LOT of fucked up math. they are actually solving real challenges posed to them by the ultimate need of selling us a bill of goods. some good may even come of this at some point, purely as a byproduct.

ray tracing cores in modern GPUs are designed only to calculate bounding volume hierarchy traversal and ray-triangle intersection

but if you shape a problem (e.g. n-body) Just Right you can use RT cores and get "1.3-4x" or "orders of magnitude" faster performance
