While it creates opportunities, I’d much rather see some backbone by doing their jobs to make change, rather than taking their balls and bats and going home. Says a lot about the character of these individuals.

Agreed. And the downside is our political system equally has never seen such corruption and therefore is ill equipped to deal with it. There are methods that could be used, but best guess is we’ll be watching his pilfering for another 3 years.

All I can say is wow! What more do the folks in congress need to see to vote to extend Obamacare subsidies for the masses? What’s that, they’re on their own unique govt subsidized plan through Obamacare? Hmm, maybe there’s something there we could latch onto?

Yes, things are going so well that Trump had to beg time from the networks to literally shout to the masses how well we’re doing. Is it possible he’s no longer finding it easy to believe his own BS?

Come on, Bondi could only fit so many on her desk last summer. Now that they’re being released (redacted and NOT in accordance with the law), she can fit a bit more on her desk. Most are probably still at Mar a Lago in the bathroom anyway…

All Trump voters, except MAGA, will have the same comeuppance very soon. The only exceptions being the top 1% who benefit no matter what. The problem is most red state voters will never vote blue, just because. They’d rather suffer through more of this than change their generational beliefs.

Best assessment I’ve seen of him in awhile. Trump 1.0 foreshadowed what would happen should he be elected again and so here we are. Despite being convicted of fraud, despite being convicted of sexual misconduct and despite the corruption that has been his life, America wanted more. Well, we got it.

Murrow and Cronkite would not recognize this America. Today’s America is too corrupt and self indulgent to be the great country it was during their respective lifetimes. Starting with our president and flowing through the GOP and SCOTUS, today’s America is a shadow of its former self.

Sure. Pick on those that can barely afford to make ends meet at the most critical times of their careers. Education is an investment in America’s future. If America is the “richest” country in the world, perhaps those with the most money should step up to assist if the government won’t?

Yes. And it’s this kind of vitriol that stirred the Nazis. To see this coming from someone that represents the US Government casts everything that we fought for in WW2 to the side. Our veterans and the people of the US deserve better. He and all like him will be held accountable.

Once again our dear president has to make anything noteworthy about himself. I would put Reiner’s body of work and social impact multitudes above anything Trump has or could ever do. Reiner will be remembered for all of the positives he contributed to Hollywood as well as his charitable causes.

He’s an embarrassment and his policies are an embarrassment. It’s very hard as a US citizen not to be completely embarrassed by what my country is becoming. We must respond and stop this lunatic and his policies as quickly possible.

This is great, but isn’t it a little like shutting the barn door after the cow has escaped? The east wing is gone and cannot be rebuilt. What exactly does the National Trust expect to achieve with their lawsuit? Where were they when the walls were coming down?

True. That’s why Dems must retake the House with enough votes to get an impeachment vote through. And, if the Dems could get to 60 in the Senate, there would be a fighting chance of his removal.

They do not, but that’s hardly news. Nor is the result of this vote. Dems can only wonder now if capitulating on the shutdown to get nothing more than a symbolic vote that clearly was not going to change was worth it. Taking names is fine, but people are now stuck with paying huge increases.
