In my efforts to further understand effective storytelling from an acting and writing perspective, i have come across this legend. His show(s) is/are fundamental in shaping my dreams of being an actor and voice actor. I hope to read his book one day!
When I worked on The Office, Greg Daniels had a list of questions he asked of every story. Some were show-specific (eg “Are we saying something truthful if exaggerated about office life?”), but many are applicable to any script. Here’s a little thread on them…

The thing about being burnt out is that you don't know how to put it into words... you just keep going, running on fumes, hoping that someone ANYONE will notice how hard you are trying to be human. But there is no word of any weight to describe exactly how critically hollow and lost you feel...

Got called in to work last night, showed up, boss said they were good and I could go home, didn't sleep because of children...now I'm back at work for 12 hours running on two monsters and sheer force of will alone... yeah I'm built different...like incorrectly I think...
