Yes, it would be nice if it had more bosses and/or copy abilities. But those are basically the only hangups

It doesn't give forgotten land *everything* I feel it needed, but in the areas it does cover, it's so much more than the base game ever was. Kirby at peak performance

It's got:

- 12 new stages that go beyond anything the base game did
- 3 new mouthfuls that also go beyond anything the base ones did
- an actually challenging boss rush
- tons of lore
- a god-tier soundtrack

ffs the performance boost is the least notable thing about it

while re-pac looks great in its own right, it doesn't quite hit the same just by virtue of it being a modern game. it still has the attention to detail but a different vibe. pac-village being a real hub makes totally fine sense but that flow of progression does get lost in the process

I think smth OG world 2 does super well is selling the idea that you really are on a big journey. B-Doing Woods and Into the Volcano have visual elements from the areas right before them. the backgrounds mix with the geometry really nicely. the 6th Gen Atmosphere is very thick
