It makes sense to me from a product point of view. If people are not happy playing your game, wouldn't you try to make them happy so they stay, play, and buy more product? Can't please everyone of course. If I'm honest I'm sad to see it go, but I do think it was a mistake in the first place.

But it's a good reminder for me that changed behavior needs to come with proper apologies. Good reminder.

I don't really keep a scorecard. That's just what I've noticed. And fair, there is a higher standard for public figures. I'm not really asking you to support him. But I really don't think he deserves our vitriol. From my personal interactions with him I see a man who is trying to change.

Actionable change that I've seen is that he stopped interacting with Riddlerman and Saint. In a private covo he even told me the reasons why. He promoted Tea and TCG. That's just off the top of my head.

I wish we could all talk it out in person. So much progress could be made not just in this situation but in humanity at large if people could sit down and have a conversation with each other. So hard to come to an understanding with a 300 character limit and the impersonal blankness of a screen.

He was an ass. He spewed hate. He doubled down on it. He was 100% in the wrong. I say "dumb shit" because character limits exist on Bsky, not to try to minimize his behavior. What he did is inexcusable.

But he acknowledged it. He's tried to change. He's a different person from before.

Sloop did dumb shit. He was rightly called out. He pulled everything, acknowledged he was in the wrong, and apologized. He distanced himself from the weirdos. He has been a straight shooter since, including magnifying female voices. I truly fail to see how he is a harmful creator. Just my 2 cents.
