I had the privilege of listening to her speak at an event last November (to the day!), & she is one of the most incredible people on this planet. She said this & it has stuck with me ever since: "Racism is a grownup disease & we should stop using our kids to spread it."

Troops are made to be manipulated, it's kinda the deal. That doesn't make them naive.
They all operate within the parameters of their military service. It doesn't much matter what they believe, only what they do. They SHOULDN'T follow illegal orders, but how do they navigate that in real time?? IDK

The public got used to it. Things that used to end a career for good, became mere speed bumps. Then Trump took off all the guardrails. Brazenly flaunted his disregard for norms, rules, ethics and the law. With very little pushback, although he acts like he was the most persecuted person in history..

I'm not saying to give DOD access to those funds. I'm saying that if they want to increase DOD funding, they must increase veterans funding by the same %. It's not a radical idea. It's common sense.. "IF"
DOD funding is about national security/defense. Less so if it's a slush fund/political grift..
