At COP30, it became impossible to ignore the voices missing from the negotiation halls. Those of us working on gender and climate could see how little space was given to the daily experiences of girls and women, from unpaid care and loss of income to rising risks of gender-based violence and disrupted access to sexual and reproductive health care. Every year at COP, it feels like we must speak louder to ensure these experiences are not forgotten.

On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we call for justice and the fulfillment of Palestinians’ inalienable right to self-determination — grounded in gender equality and human rights.
Palestinian girls and women continue to endure the harrowing impacts of the genocide. Their sexual and reproductive health and rights must be safeguarded.

The African Regional Convening Towards Women Deliver 2026 is here. Nairobi, 24 - 26 November 2025. We are gathering here to ensure African voices and priorities guide the path to our next Conference! In 2023, we held WD2023 in Kigali. Now, we are coming together again in this African Regional Convening ahead of WD2026, showing that feminist action doesn’t stop when a Conference ends. We carry those learnings into the work ahead.

 We are living in a time of profound crisis, of climate collapse, conflict, rising fascism, and the rollback of hard-won rights. The systems we once relied on — foreign aid, multilateralism, development — were never made for us. They were built to serve power and the interests of a few, not the needs of the many. And while the Global Majority contributes the least to these crises, they are the ones bearing its greatest burdens. As official development assistance (ODA) continues to shrink, we must remind the world that aid is not generosity; it is reparation. I see this moment not as an ending, but as a call to build anew: feminist, decolonized, and accountable to the Global Majority. Through our upcoming Women Deliver 2026 Conference and the co-creation of a Global Feminist Playbook, we are shaping a collective vision for gender equality and justice, alongside concrete commitments to make that vision real.
