I go by she and her.
What about cult victims leaving their families because they’ve been brainwashed? What about people with controlling partners who tell them they have to cut ties? It’s Abuse 101 to sever people off from their support systems, so I don’t think it’s a case of “always”.

(Hit the post button early) ...six are people I have not met but have interacted with online on some level, five of them could be considered "celebrities", and the rest are less-than-universally-known artists I admire, or fun accounts like @mondomascots.bsky.social.

No point to this, just curious.

I'm sorry, what? Jesus wasn't known for slaying bulls.

It already looks pretty 1970s as it is. At first glance, I thought it WAS a book from the 1970s.

(The first book of Matthew states that the marriage of Joseph to Mary was not consummated UNTIL AFTER Jesus was born, not that it was never consummated.)

Anyway, the Church places a day exactly nine months before Christmas as Jesus' conception. It's just not as big a deal as the Nativity.

Catholic Doctrine holds that Mary was conceived without original sin, presumably to be a pure vessel for the Son of God.

(The Catholic Church is REALLY invested in Mary's purity, referring to her as "ever-virgin", even though Jesus had brothers and sisters. The Church says they were cousins.)

That's because they assume it's about the conception of Jesus, and the math doesn't quite math for that to be true, since it indicates either a very short gestation, or a very long one.

But it isn't the conception of Jesus. It's about the conception of his mother, Mary.
