Overvloed & Ontberingen is ons nieuwe project samen met Geek It Real Good. Deze avonturenbundel komt in 2026 naar Kickstarter (link in het eerste bericht van deze thread) en zal beschikbaar in het Nederlands en in het Engels.

Een muizenleven staat of valt met de vrijgevigheid van Moeder Natuur. De zomer brengt overvloed: genoeg rantsoenen voor een hele nederzetting, feestvreugde en het vertrouwen dat zelfs de kleinste muis de grootste obstakels kan overwinnen.

Maar het nadeel van als vendor op zo'n toffe beurs staan, is dat je vette live shows als die van Geen Woorden Maar Draken, @dndmeteenzachteg.nl en Aan Tafel niet helemaal kan kijken, want je moet toch weer terug naar je kraam...

Conclusie: super leuk weekend! Tot de volgende keer?

Afgelopen weekend hebben we twee super leuke dagen gehad op @mainquestcon.bsky.social 2025 aan onze tafel met Geek It Real Good.

We hebben veel leuke Mausritter verhalen gehoord en hopelijk veel nieuwe mensen enthousiast gemaakt voor dit leuke spel.

Applying this logic to RPG books and zines

The legendary Italian writer Umberto Eco had over 50,000 books in his private library.

When asked why so many, he had this to say:

It is foolish to think that you have to read all the books you buy, as it is foolish to criticize those who buy more books than they will ever be able to read. It would be like saying that you should use all the cutlery or glasses or screwdrivers or drill bits you bought before buying new ones.

It just requires a little reframing to think about books differently. What if we thought about them as medicine? Then, suddenly:

we understand that it is good to have many at home rather than a few: when you want to feel better, then you go to the ‘medicine closet’ and choose a book. Not a random one, but the right book for that moment. That’s why you should always have a nutrition choice!

The "Chat Control" proposal would mandate scanning of all private digital communications, including encrypted messages and photos. This threatens fundamental privacy rights and digital security for all EU citizens.

Currently: 3 member states opposing, 15 member states, 9 member states undecided

You Will Be Impacted

Every photo, every message, every file you send will be automatically scanned—without your consent or suspicion. This is not about catching criminals. It is mass surveillance imposed on all 450 million citizens of the European Union.

Mass Surveillance - Every private message, photo, and file scanned automatically: no suspicion required, no exceptions*, even encrypted communications.

Breaking Encryption - Weakening or breaking end-to-end encryption exposes everyone's communications—including sensitive financial, medical, and private data—to hackers, criminals, and hostile actors.

Fundamental Rights - Undermines your fundamental rights to privacy and data protection, as guaranteed by Articles 7 and 8 of the EU Charter—rights considered core to European democratic values.

False Positives - Automated scanners routinely misidentify innocent content, such as vacation photos or private jokes, as illegal, putting ordinary people at risk of false accusations and damaging investigations.

Ineffective Child Protection - Child protection experts and organisations, including the UN, warn that mass surveillance fails to prevent abuse and actually makes children less safe—by weakening security for everyone and diverting resources from proven protective measures.

Global Precedent - Creates a dangerous global precedent enabling authoritarian governments, citing EU policy, to roll out intrusive surveillance at home, undermining privacy and free expression worldwide.

#Mausritter blijft zo'n heerlijk eenvoudig maar buitengewoon boeiend spel. Zelfs met beginnende (of jongere) spelers is dit één van de betere introducties tot rollenspellen.
