I’ve heard of this before but never actually seen it myself until this week - an old stump of a previously felled Momi fir (Abies firma) healed over but is still alive many years later - I’m guessing from roots which have grafted to other living trees below ground! Pretty cool! #forest

Final 2 days of an awesome 4 day cycle trip doing the Morray Gravel Triangle which links up the Speyside, Moray and Dava ways!
No option but to ride through #StormDarragh 😂 - fortunately less intense than expected but my lord was it wet!
