Insurrection Act is a statute (Title 10,USC §§ 251–255) that allows the President, to deploy the US military or federalize the Natl Guard to suppress insurrection, domestic violence, or enforce fed law, overriding the restriction of Posse Comitatus. A tool of executive power, delegated by Congress.
