Absolutely beautiful weather this weekend in the mid-Atlantic and I thoroughly enjoyed this train trip through the woods of South Jersey. Woodstown Central Railroad.

I forgot I took this pic. My phone decided to randomly showcase this particular one. I was aboard the eastbound Floridian to DC. Pic turned out better than I thought it did at the time. One of my favorite stations, somewhat for sentimental reasons but also just a great looking building.

Had a great time on the Gettysburg Railway (PA) on Sunday. Apparently they just started this new excursion. Very nice rebuilt Budd coaches (110v outlets and USBa/c ports) and it runs on the old Reading line up to just shy of Biglerville. Beautiful views, I want to ride again once the leaves change.

I had bourbon apple crepes for breakfast on the train to Chicago this morning and now all I want is Football, Charlie Brown and pumpkin spice….🍁🎃🍂🚂

Apparently a great time to visit the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is on Charter Day (State Charter). Huge crowd, lots of volunteers which meant lots of equipment “open to the public” which usually isn’t. Hence, my boy finally being able to climb in a Pennsy E-44 for the first time.

Had a great day yesterday at the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum. Tons of model railroads, memorabilia and real trains right outside the building. Located next to CSX’s (former Western Maryland RW) Hagerstown Yard. The station depicted in the one picture is Point of Rocks on the Potomac River.

Took my boy to a Toys for Tots event in Salem NJ. He kept asking if we could ride the train, I said probably not. Turns out “technically” I was wrong. The Woodstown Central Railroad is a fairly new attraction and once I figured that out, we both really enjoyed the trip on their other train.

For anyone interested in preparing their turkey a little differently, may I suggest the Tipsy Turkey. It involves a brine based on beer, fruit and spices, two days swimming in it but I promise it’s worth it. I don’t do it exactly like this but you do you! www.craftbeer.com/recipes/tips...
