Gay and Married to a wonderful gentle man 30 years. I am older but I am dancing as fast as I can!
I have hope and I try to see the best in things but I am beyond disappointed in the 2024 Election and the divisions and hatefulness Americans have embraced!🏳️‍🌈

Love your story!

We eloped in 2013 to NYC!

My cousin married us on the High Line near the Standard Hotel!
His husband was the witness, and my husband’s best friend was our best man! Truly an amazing week!

Honeymooned in Boston!

Why anyone wants to ruin our marriage bond is beyond me!

Trump has spent his life and made a living talking out of his ass!

Trump spews BS, and people take him at his word. That is what is astounding!

How long can a snake oil salesman sell fake crap till you figure out it’s no good?

MAGA looks like it will go down with the ship. We can help it sink!

Trump’s tariffs are a nightmare and a tax on us all!

Trump’s a wrecking ball and is destroying the economy so quickly it’s terrifying and doing it with crazy, cruel policies!

Plus, the shutdown is costing billions a week!

Eggs are $10 and groceries are climbing.

WTAF, we are heading to disaster!

East Berlin about 10 months before the wall came down.

Russia was the one place in the world I could not wait to leave. It was so depressing and oppressive.

A great reason to fight fascism here! We must fight to keep our freedoms!

I think we have been selfish far too long. We must work to help each other and return to doing far more public service!

In East Berlin, we were in shops that were more or less empty. Cloth in the windows with a few products on display, and inside the stores were either mostly empty or closed.

The Russians did not seem to lack anything!

What I experienced was not as you describe.

Those I met longed for a life where they could choose their futures rather than being told what they must do and having their lives fully managed and monitored.

I am glad you had a happy perspective.

I’ve been to Russia and it’s a sad and awful place!

I am glad you had that experience. From those to whom we were exposed had a different experience were older and had few options: little work, communal housing and were watched. The few shops had little in them. The contrast from East to West was stunning! I was happy to return to the West!
